Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Cleans resident apartments, public bathrooms, offices, halls, trash rooms, stairways, elevators and other areas by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Disinfects equipment and supplies and keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.

-Maintains cleaning equipment in proper working condition and reports on equipment and/or furniture in need of repair.

-Cleans unoccupied apartments thoroughly; performs duties such as mopping floors, vacuuming; cleans and washes washroom fixtures; cleans mirrors and inside windows.

-Cleans occupied residents' rooms, including vacuuming and mopping and maintaining resident kitchens, bathrooms and balcony in a clean, safe and orderly condition.

-Cleans other areas such as offices, workrooms, lobbies, classrooms, laundry room and restrooms if assigned.

-Dusts resident furniture, woodwork, door panels, and sills.

-Cleans rugs and carpets. Dust mops and wet mops floors; vacuums carpets and rugs.

-Empties wastebaskets. Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.

-Ability to manage time effectively and reprioritize assigned tasks as needed within one hour.

-Attends in-service programs and meetings as required.
